Enrichment At The Image Centre

Our Enrichment Day took place on Tuesday 22nd March and saw students take part in a range of activities both in and outside of school.  A group of eighteen Year 9 and 10 students visited the Wigan & Leigh College Image Centre, making their own way there for a 9:15am start.

The Image Centre - Leigh is a designated “Wella Centre of Excellence” dedicated to hair, beauty and holistic therapy.  The impressive Wella accreditation means that the Centre has achieved the highest standard of training and demonstrates excellent links with industry.  The Centre offers realistic working environments, including hairdressing and beauty salons, a nail studio, a theatrical & media make-up room, spa pool, sauna, flotation couch and more.

Amongst other activities, the students took part in a make-up session and their fantastic work is pictured here.  Very glamorous!

Mrs Brandwood commented that “our girls were an absolute credit. They were interested, enthusiastic, polite and engaged throughout the day and all of the college staff commented on how brilliant they were. One was particularly impressed by their manners; he held a door open for the group and every singe person thanked him! I was very proud of them, and made sure to tell them so at the end of the day.”

Congratulations girls and thank you to the Image Centre for our visit.
